What I do at St Petrocs
Hello, I'm Lois, I lead the Engagement Team at St Petrocs.
I love to be able to tell people about our important work supporting people experiencing homelessness in Cornwall. This includes the wonderful and ever generous and supportive community of Cornwall, local businesses, funders and partners.
It is a real privilege to work for St Petrocs alongside a team of incredible dedicated and hard working individuals and to know that we make such a difference to people’s lives and to the wider community in Cornwall.

Who am I?
I have worked for St Petrocs for almost 8 years, initially working as the Volunteer Coordinator which gave me a really good insight into all the operations of the organisation, and engaging people in our work with people experiencing homelessness.
I then moved into the Communications Team and helped oversee the communications outlets and events. Since then I have been focussing more on grant and funding applications and developing relationships with local businesses and funders, which I love! It's such a vibrant and ever helpful community to engage with.
Prior to working at St Petrocs I worked for a charity called Transformation Cornwall who helped social action groups to build capacity and secure grants to address poverty and deprivation in Cornwall.
I have worked in the Voluntary and Community Sector in Cornwall for over 10 years now, and prior to that I have undertaken a lot of voluntary roles and work. A project I have been involved in which was very important to me was the Most Mira (which means Bridge of Peace) Festival in Bosnia which I volunteered for over 3 years. This was a project to build bridges in a divided community post-war in Bosnia through creative activities. It was an amazing, and life changing experience.
My background and education is in art, cultural studies and social science. I am a keen potter in my spare time and have a puppy called Basil who joins me on my adventures.
